Exciting news from Alibaba Group! They have released two open-sourced AI models, Qwen-7B and Qwen-7B-Chat, with 7 billion parameters each, aiming to introduce AI to small and medium-sized businesses.

Alibaba's LLMs offer various capabilities for enterprises, with freely accessible code, model weights, and documentation for researchers and institutions worldwide.

Impressive move as Alibaba becomes the first Chinese tech company to open-source large language models!

Businesses with over 100 million monthly active users will need a license, but the vector engine update to AnalyticDB allows corporate clients to create custom generative AI applications.

Meta also made a splash with their open-sourced LLM, Llama 2, trained on 40% more data and able to process twice as much context as its predecessor.

Both Alibaba and Meta's initiatives bring AI advancements to the forefront, fostering collaboration and driving innovation in the tech industry.

Stay tuned for more groundbreaking developments as the AI landscape continues to evolve!
