Google Pulls AI Test Kitchen App from App Stores

Google is making changes to its AI Test Kitchen app! The app is now pulled from the Play Store and App Store to focus solely on the web platform. The move allows easier updates on just one platform.

Last year, AI Test Kitchen let users interact with projects powered by different AI models like LaMDA 2. Now, it hosts a solitary text-to-music language model experiment called MusicLM.

Google Labs, announced in May, is the new portal for generative AI-based experiments. Users can sign up for various projects, including MusicLM.

It's not surprising for Google to streamline its AI experiments and focus on testing features for consumer products. The rise of large language models and generative AI tools might be influencing this decision.
